OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

THE BIBLE

We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through the words of human authors. As the verbally inspired Word of God, the Bible is without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged. Therefore, it is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in all that it promises

The Scripture is Our Resource

We fully understand that the church today may not look the same as the church in Jesus’ day; but it is still made up of people who love the Lord (although imperfectly) and come together to hear His word. The local church, led by Jesus, is the hope of the world and God’s means to disciple the nations and hasten his return. Matthew 16:18 says, “…On this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” We understand that though the way we do things now may look a little different than first-century Rome, it is the same mission and strategy that propels us forward, assembling for worship, connecting in community, training up disciples.
